A downloadable tool
GameDev Starter Pack (GDSP) is a capstone project of three students from the University of Mindanao, Davao City, Philippines. The package contains starter assets and scripts for various 2D games (top-down RPG, Platformer, Tower Defense, and various Puzzle games) to help in starting game development in Unity. This also includes the manual on how to use the included scripts.

How do you add images?
Hi krescenta!
You can drag and drop your images here in the Project Window. It is usually located at the bottom half of the screen in Unity.
Note: This image is for reference only and is not found in GDSP
Or you can also click Assets on the upper left and click Import New Asset![]()

To properly install/import the package inside Unity, make sure to have
at least Unity 2020.3.21f1(LTS) or newer.
If installing Unity is your issue, you can use this video below as reference.

oh i see. i have an older unity version installed. let me try again after installing the latest unity version
Edit: it functions properly now!!!!! maybe my unity version was really outdated haha
The scenes available on the package are actually really useful in prototyping, and some scripts inside are game functions that are very tiresome to set up if done from scratch. Nice unity package. might use it for future projects!

This package is very helpful, especially when you are a beginner who has knowledge of editing assets in Unity but doesn't know how to code yet.
With this package, by changing the assets and ticking the components of the script, you can customize your desired game.
Also, it was well documented in the manual, so you don't need to search the internet if you have questions about this starter pack.
